A&E waiting times by hospital
In September 2026, 74.4% of A&E attendances in England ended in admission, transfer or discharge within four hours, against the 95% standard; none of the 120 NHS trusts with a major A&E department met it, and 50,582 patients waited more than 12 hours from a decision to admit to admission. These are published monthly figures, not live waiting times; some trusts publish live A&E waits on their own websites.
